New Stadium Name for Leicester City
Leicester City has today revealed that King Power will be the Club's new stadium naming rights partner. The Thai duty-free company, owned by Leicester City Chairman, Vichai Raksriaksorn and Vice-Chairman, Aiyawatt Raksriaksorn, have added the stadium naming rights, alongside ownership of the Club, via Asia Football Investments (AFI) and now enter the second year of a three-year agreement as Club shirt sponsors.
Leicester City Chief Executive, Susan Whelan, said: "The announcement of King Power's further support to Leicester City is tremendous news and once again underlines the commitment the owners have made to the Club. "King Power has been, and always will be, a progressive company, striving for success. That approach will be adopted both on and off the field here at Leicester City, as we continue to make improvements to shape the Club's future." Crucially, Leicester City's long-standing partnership with Walkers Snacks will also continue in to this new era at the club.
Walkers, who in 2012 will celebrate their 25th year of association with Leicester City, will become the Club's Legacy Partner. The new agreement commences for the 2011/12 season.
